Go allows you to pre-plan your trip and import the routes onto your Mio.

Component Description

Route planner Plan a route by entering From point and To point. A list of planned routes will display in the

Pre-planned Routes section.

Display area Display the route on the map.

Tip: You can also right-click on the map to set your From point and To point.

How do I pre-plan a route?

1. To open the Go screen, click the GO button or File Æ New Æ Routes on the menu bar.

2. From the Route planner panel set your From point and To point.

You can find a location by keyword (

), address ( ) or postcode ( ). Input your content and click the

Enter key or

to start a search. You may need to select from a category list to narrow your search

results.

Tip: You can also right-click on the map to set your From point and To point.

 To add a via point (waypoint), click Add destination.

 To reset or remove a waypoint, click .

 To change the order of the waypoints, simply drag a waypoint up or down.

3. Click Mode and select your travel mode: Car or Walking.

4. Click Route options to set the following preferences:

 Type of route

Fastest (the fastest when navigating), Shortest (with the shortest physical length), Optimal (with the

least number of turns and favouring motorways where appropriate) or Economical (with least number

of stops, turns and urban areas which should save on fuel usage)
